Georg Glaeser (* 1955 in St. Johann im Pongau) is an Austrian mathematician and since 1998 professor for mathemathics and geometry at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He studied mathemathics and geometry at the TU Wien from 1973 to 1978 from where he also received his doctor's degree in 1980 , Walter Wunderlich being his advisor, and obtained his habilitation. He was visiting professor at Princeton University from 1986 to 1987. He is author of numerous books in the areas of Computergeometry/Computergraphics, Mathematics, Geometry, Photography, and Evolutionary Biology. One of his research interests is the intersection of mathemathics and biology.
